2. Bath: Designated by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as a World Heritage Site, Bath offers some of the finest architectural sights in Europe. 3. Liverpool: This year’s European Capital of Culture has more theatres, museums, galleries and listed buildings than any other UK city, outside of London. 4. Stratford-upon-Avon: There are so many things to do and see in the area. Take a boat out on the River Avon, explore the area by a “hop on, hop off” bus or simply enjoy a stroll around its many historic houses and gardens. Stratford-upon-Avon also offers a varied shopping experience with its many gift shops, cheesemongers, jewellers, antiques, boutiques and bookshops.
