We saved a caravanners’ Easter holidays by replacing his written off caravan within a week of making the claim.
Mr Moore’s caravan was destroyed when a truck veered off the road and onto his home driveway in Belper, Derbyshire.
He was "amazed" that our claims team managed to turn around his claim in such a short space of time, arranging a new caravan right in time for his holiday.
"It could’ve been a nightmare if this hadn’t been sorted so quickly. They’ve [Caravan Guard] turned the claim around within days, got me a new caravan sorted, and saved my holiday," said Mr Moore.
Because he had paid for ‘New-for-old’ insurance cover, Mr Moore received a brand new 2009 model Swift Fairway from Broad Lane Leisure, a dealership who have a long and successful working relationship with Caravan Guard. Mr Moore said the service received exceeded his expectations,
"I underestimated how good a company Caravan Guard are – when they said they would call by 10am I got a call at 9.30am. When they said an assessor would be with me by 1pm they arrived at 11.30am – the service I have received from everyone at Caravan Guard has been phenomenal."
We were named Customer Service Provider of the Year at the UK Broker Awards 2008, and certainly in this case it’s easy to see why – fantastic service when our customer needed us most. Mr Moore had this final point to add,
"I’ve been caravanning for years and never had a claim, insurance is one of those things you hope you’ll never need, but when you do need it you hope that you’ll be looked after properly – Caravan Guard certainly did that."
