Paperless insurance policies raise £1000 for Heart Research UK

We have raised over £1000 for Heart Research UK, by giving customers the chance to opt for an ‘online paperless policy’.

We donate £1 for every paperless policy purchased through our ‘quote and buy’ website located at www.caravanguard.co.uk – which since its launch last summer has proved hugely successful, with over 1000 paperless policies to date.

Our Associate Director, Craig Thompson (pictured right), presented the £1000 cheque to Barbara Harpham the National Director of Heart Research UK – he had this to say about the scheme,

"Customers can still have their policy posted to them if they’d prefer, but more and more people are considering the environment and choosing to have their policy documents sent to them by email. The £1 we donate for every ‘paperless policy’ gives the customer an extra incentive, as they’re not only helping the environment, but also helping to raise money for a very worthy charity."

Heart Research UK is a visionary charity that leads the way in funding pioneering research into the prevention, treatment and cure of heart disease. It also promotes healthy heart lifestyles through its work with schools and community groups.

Barbara Harpham, National Director of Heart Research UK, says:

"We are delighted to receive this donation from Caravan Guard and its customers; it’s our first corporate contribution of 2009. Heart disease is Britain’s biggest killer, however, by raising funds we can research new treatments and techniques and help more people live healthier, happier, longer lives."

As well as the money raised for charity, and the benefit to the environment, customers themselves save an extra 10% off their caravan insurance when buying online.
