1. What is "New For Old" cover?

All our park home insurance policies are on a 'New for Old' basis which means that you will receive a new replacement (of equivalent specification) if your park home or its contents are damaged beyond economic repair, and also if your contents are stolen. It is important that you insure for the current new replacement value for this cover to apply.

2. Can you insure my park home?

We can insure most park homes providing they are permanently sited on a residential licensed park. The home should be worth at least £35,000 and no more than 25 years old.

3. Can my residential lodge or chalet be covered under the park home policy?

We can insure lodges and chalets that are being used as a permanent resident (i.e. not just a holiday home) that are permanently sited on residential licensed parks. If your lodge or chalet is used for holiday purposes only, we may be able to cover you under our holiday home insurance policy

4. How long can I leave my park home unoccupied for?

Our park home insurance policy allows you to leave your home for up 2 months. If you need to leave your home for longer than this, we can extend the cover for up to 8 months, providing certain measures are taken to ensure the park home is not at risk (see our policy booklet). There is no charge for this extension of cover, however, you will need to let us know when you are planning to leave your park home for such long periods so that the extension can be applied to your policy.

5. Do you insure park homes outside of the UK?

Our policy only covers park homes sited in the UK, which includes England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands.

6. How can I pay for my park home insurance premium?

You can pay by credit or debit card over the phone. Our advisers or on hand 7 days a week.

If you would prefer to spread the payment of your insurance over 12 monthly payments, rather than pay in one lump sum, then simply call us with your bank details. We use a company called Premium Credit Ltd to provide finance and a charge for credit will apply - written quotations are available on request. Credit is available subject to status.

You can also pay by cheque (made payable to 'Leisuredays'), however, we are unable to start your cover until your cheque has been received at our office.
