There’s fixed twin bunks in the rear bedroom opposite the side dinette and a full-width end washroom. With parallel sofas and a central kitchen it has comfort and practicality by the bucket-load.
Comfort and practicality is enhanced by the all new “Dreamsleep” soft furnishing system, which although unique to the Bailey Pegasus range, has already won industry awards. It features domestic style cushion construction with multi-layered base cushions, shaped back rests and allows for easier and quicker bed make up. The demonstration we saw took an impressive 60 seconds or so to make the front sofas into a large double bed. Cushions are also lightweight compared to previous interior systems and fixed bed mattresses are of the “Dreamsleep” system make-up.
The centre kitchen has a dual fueled gas hob with a grill and an oven; a microwave is standard, as is the “tallboy” fridge with a glossy piano-black door. Extra worktop space is provided by a worktop extension.
With the fixed bunks and the side dinette, this caravan sleeps five people, but an optional sixth bunk can be fitted by a dealership at a cost of around £700.
The shower room contains the wardrobe which also houses the freestanding dining table and there’s a useful flap in the floor of the wardrobe which reveals a large storage area, ideal for lightweight bulky items not regularly used.
Mendip Ash furniture blends well with either of the interior colour schemes; the standard upholstery is called Richmond and features a contemporary looking ivory, claret and grey colour scheme. For a more distinctive look, there is the “Belvoir” option at a cost of £199.
Heating and hot water is courtesy of the Truma combi heating system.
On the nearside exterior is a pre-wired isolator switch for a caravan mover. This makes installation of an optional mover an easier fitting for the dealer, saving about one hour of labour, and some costs.
Verdict: A flexible layout, even if you only need to accommodate two adults, and with two kids using the bunks, giving the children their own sleeping and living space by allocating the side dinette to them. If you are spending this sum of money then it’s worth considering adding extra security features like the AL-KO Secure axle wheel lock which costs £194.00 (weight 4kgs) and AL-KO ATC Trailer Control System at a cost of £399.00 and an extra weight of 3kgs. These optional extra security features may well influence the cost to insure this caravan.

Bought a lovely used 2016 Ancona , now need to give a local guy £800 to fit ATC. Ridiculous.
We have just an identical caravan, however really disappointed with the double bed, yes so much easier to make, In a minute, but the slats don’t seem long enough in the plastic runners, as soon as you put any weight on the bed the slats fall through, it is being investigated, we’ve only spent one night in it, but agreed the bed is so much better, when it doesn’t collapse!

Agree with previous comment, I think ATC is such a safety critical component it should be mandatory on all new caravans. It should not be an optional extra on the lower priced models.

Simply disgraceful that ATC and a decent wheel lock are additional cost options. I am sure that neither item costs Bailey anything like the sort of money they want customers to part with. Just a cynical means of increasing their profits??
On a different tack it would be a good idea to include weights (Both Gross and available payload) in all reviews as its vital information for any prospective purchaser.
