A bit of style. A lot of quality. And a subtle seating tweak, but it seems to be working for Adria.
Matrix means there’s a drop-down bed. Supreme stands for the highest specification level. But, it’s the DC designation that’s new for 2019. It denotes two settees, in which Adria likes to call an “open salon”. But, that’s for daytime on-site mode. If needed, each settee can be converted to a travel seat – one faces backwards – making this a full four-seater motorhome if desired.
It’s at least a four-berth as far as sleeping is concerned. There’s the island bed at the back, plus a drop-down double over the lounge.
If you really wanted, you could also create a fifth berth from the lounge seating and pedestal leg table.
In daytime mode, though, one of the advantages of the “open salon” is instant. These settees, coupled with the hinged table top, make access to the rest of the living quarters so easy. With both cab seats swivelled, you really could have quite a party here.
Beyond the lounge, on the nearside, the kitchen might seem compact but there’s lots of clever design here.
The three gas rings, for example, are different sizes and set in a line, saving a lot of space compared to more conventional hobs.
Note, also, the slightly different shape of the sink to the left. The arrangement allows for some worktop, plus there’s an acrylic splash panel. There’s a Thetford oven/grill below, with soft-closing drawers and a single overhead locker. Across the corridor is a 142-litre Thetford fridge.
There’s a slight step to negotiate as you head beyond the kitchen towards the bedroom. The shower cubicle and toilet room are to your left, and right, respectively.
Again, it’s all very user-friendly, although do note there’s a wheel arch intrusion in the shower! That fixed hanging rail should come in handy for hanging wet clothing etc, though.
The main bed will surely be the sumptuous island double at the back. It’s flanked by wardrobes and fixed ledges, with a trio of overhead lockers on the back wall.
There’s a fixed, padded headboard, plus the upper section of mattress can be angled for sitting up. A sliding door gives bedroom privacy.
On Fiat’s special motorhome chassis – wider track, lower height. The rather stunning silver exterior you can see here is part of the Supreme kit list, as are upmarket features such as Alde central heating with underfloor warming. Keeping the chassis rating to 3,500kg with a reasonable payload is a bonus, too.
Don’t be fooled by the initial window price, however. This is really a £70,000+ motorhome – the £3,060 Luxury Pack and £2,590 Motorhome Pack 2 are pretty much essential – giving you such goodies as alloy wheels, central cup holders, DAB radio with satellite navigation, spare wheel with holder, roof rack and ladder, rear view camera and an awning for the former; the latter covers off cab air conditioning, passenger airbag, cruise control, front fog lights, leather steering wheel and gear knob, ESP and Traction+ with hill descent.
There are also soft furnishings alternatives to consider.
Essentials? Luxuries? It’s entirely down to you.
Verdict: Well-made and well-executed. Just watch the price, though.
Plus: Island and drop-down double beds, lounge flexibility, lots of stylish touches.
Minus: Rearward-facing fourth travel seat, options prices.
In-a-nutshell: Stylish Supreme is a good mix of beds and seats.

We have as our first motorhome a Matrix 670SL. Only 3 design faults: – The lack of 240v power sockets throughout. No where to fit a microwave. The TV mounted above the fridge/freezer does not protrude far enough out of the locker to be able to fully turn the screen to face the offside front captains seat.
Other than those 3 points, its perfect. Gets admiring glances wherever we go.
Good article. I find the placement of the 1 plug in the kitchen area ridiculous. Just bought a coral plus DL and wonder who had that bright idea! Everything else is super though, but as a cook the kitchen sucks.
