Four layouts, three levels of specification. That’s the Adria Twin van conversions formula for 2019, with this – the Supreme 640 SLB – sitting at the top of the pack.
There’s an increasing levels of style coming to van conversions. Adria is one of the companies at the vanguard – especially when you look at this Twin Supreme, with all the add-ons.
That last phrase is critical, because to bring it up to its attention-grabbing highest point, you’ll want to go for the £3,000-plus Luxury Pack, with everything from those alloy wheels, to DAB stereo system, to rear-view camera, awning, roof rack etc.
That’s on top of one of the two other Packs (1 or 2) that will add at least £1,800 to what shouts out, initially, as a very attractive sub-£48,000 starting price.
Adria claiming an exclusive in a van conversions with the Sky-Roof and Sky-Lounge overhead windows arrangement. It teams an opening sunroof and a fixed section that really does bring extra daylight (and ventilation) to the main living quarters. Indeed, it teams well with Onyx interior, where the upholstery in particular adds a very automotive feel.
It’s a standard enough floorplan for an extra-long Fiat Ducato conversion. The rear features twin, fixed, single longitudinal beds that can be adapted into a double, while a third (more occasional) berth can be created from the lounge seating. The central section can also be folded up, should you want a walk-through facility and/or space for transporting large items of luggage, including bikes etc. The main underbed areas also include a large cupboard on the offside and a wardrobe nearside.
It’s a typical lounge for this type of motorhome – a four-seater as standard, while the table has an extension section (and there’s a rail on the kitchen unit should you wish to use it outside with the sliding door open, under the awning).
Overhead, the lockers have a push-to-open operation and pneumatic stays, while there’s a handy worktop extension that flips up on the left-side of the kitchen, a single overhead locker and a useful rack to the right of the sink.
The Duplex washroom starts with a space-saving, full height tambour door, rolling back to reveal a typical swivel-bowl toilet and fixed basin arrangement, as well as useful storage (mirror-doored corner vanity unit, small overhead locker) and an opaque window. Key to the success of this washroom, though, is the wall section that swings round to create an enclosed area for showering.
For cooking, there are two gas rings, amalgamated with a sink served by a swan neck mixer tap. Under this, there are large drawers with a soft-close function. Next to this is space for a 90-litre compressor fridge. And Truma’s trusty Combi provides the hot water and blown air heating.
The Twin Supreme 640SLB motorhome is not without rivals. Indeed, this is an increasingly competitive sector of the motorhome market, as ever more manufacturers are putting forward their own representation here.
Verdict: Adria forges ahead with a Supreme effort
Plus: Comfortable single beds, quality and luxury combined, clever washroom
Minus: Sliding door stays on UK offside, price creeps up with options

We bought an Autotrail V line 636 for last season but went to pick it up and couldn’t take it away as it was essentially different to the brochure so we were in the hunt again. We settled on the adria twin and can’t wait to pick it up in March. We’ve seen one in the flesh this time and although we missed the hottest summer on record we are really happy to be getting the adria in the end.
Where can I buy this vehicle. I love it,especially the bathroom conversion. I am in America,so can I bring this vehicle here. I see it’s available in Left hand drive,so this is the biggest thing for me. Also is it available with the solar battery that can run the A/C and restarts the vehicle automatically when the battery is running low. Please let me know more about my request. My email is below.

Totally agree with Migel. The fact that it is just over 6m causes extra difficulties with parking and there are now several coachbuilt options available under 6 m which give plenty of internal space and extra comforts. Unfortunately they are slightly wider which is a disadvantage on the narrow roads of Devon & Cornwall.
However, a great article and for those who favour van conversions Adria are a good option.
Good choices to consider. We sold our 6m panel van for a 7m coachbuilt. Yes, bigger van is so spacious but not so good for exploring UK’s out of the way places. We’re changing back to smaller van.
I really like this vehicle. I keep going between a Hymer 314 , or a Van conversion. Can’t seem to make my mind up. I am planning on mainly Europe and mainly On site stays with only the odd wild camping and aires etc. Any suggestions would be welcome.
The trouble with going over 6m ,You cant get it into a standard carpark bay. At 6m it is a squeeze but is possible if no wall directly behind. There are now 6m Coach builds with drop down double beds. Plenty of lounge space
