Widely cited as the forerunner of this style of van conversion, with a floorplan featuring all the comforts of a transverse double bed at the back, Adria continues to offer variations on the theme.
Shining a light on the SX factor
The 6m long Supreme 600 SX is new for 2023 – joining an Adria Twin portfolio that now stretches to 11 models. But key here is the significant number of tweaks to the original concept.
It’s based, as ever, on Fiat’s Ducato, in latest guise starting with the Euro 6d, 2.2-litre, 140bhp engine with six-speed manual transmission. Upgrades, including more power and/or automatic gearing, are pricey. UK models are, of course, right-hand drive, although the rest of the conversions doesn’t switch over – hence the sliding door is on the UK offside.
Adria certainly likes to tease your budget. Even though its Supreme title denotes the highest level of standard specification on offer, there’s still room for more. For example, the standard model is in white – a choice of metallic paint finishes starts off at £1,040.
You do get the All-inclusive Pack in the initial price, though, and that extends to an awning, Isofix fittings in the rear travel seat, removable floor carpeting, 100Ah leisure battery, heated wastewater tank, flatscreen TV holder and more.
There’s one other key feature that Adria has confirmed will be standard on the Twin Supreme 600 SX. That’s the rather super XL sunroof in the overcab area. Effectively, what you get here are two sunroofs – the forward, curved one fixed; the rectangular unit over the lounge can be opened. The overall effect is to let in loads of glorious daylight, adding to the feeling of roominess at the front of the campervan.
Down below, the lounge is a standard format for this type of campervan or van conversion, where both cab seats are on swivels and there’s a forward-facing bench seat, complete with three-point belts, adjustable head restraints and that Isofix for safe travelling.
The seats sit around a side-fixing table; it’s on a rail so there’s some fore-and-aft adjustment. There’s also a swing-out extension section. Plus, that table slots onto the kitchen unit for use outdoors when conditions allow.
Opposite the lounge and just inside the aforementioned sliding door, the kitchen has a familiar enough two-ring hob and sink combination.
Our pictures don’t show it, but an oven is an extra that you’ll get inside UK versions of the Adria Twin Supreme 600 SX. It will be fitted in the lower kitchen area which does mean you lose some of the extensive drawer space.
There’s also a handy worktop extension, which extends part-way across the doorway, but still allows fairly easy access.
Standard is a 90-litre compressor fridge (which should be plentiful for most users), set high for easy access. There’s a 138-litre capacity option, but again, you’ll lose cupboard space if you go down this route.
The washroom is Adria’s Duplex design, which means the wall where the countertop basin sits hinges around to create a shower area as needed. It’s clever. The full-height tambour door here is also a great space-saver.
It’s at the very back of the Twin Supreme 600 SX where Adria dares to be a bit different, preferring to refer to the space here as a garage for storage rather than a lounge, despite the presence of an inward-facing settee on the offside. There’s also fixed cushioning in place on the nearside, but the large locker accessed by sliding doors that’s also here precludes it from being used for seating. Note also the lack of side windows, although you can still sit on the nearside settee and open either, or both, of those back doors for views out and fresh air in.
Instead, that nearside cushioning plays its part at night-time, when a central bed section lowers electrically to form the double bed.
It can all be left in place as a bed, of course, but there’s flexibility in the huge amount of storage space that’s created when the central section goes back to roof level.
The all-grey interior here adds to the automotive feel, but there’s a choice of five more soft furnishings finishes, at no extra cost, should you wish to have a bit more colour.
There’s plenty more to this Adria Twin Supreme 600 SX campervan. It uses Truma’s latest diesel-powered Combi system for heating and hot water. There’s a good amount of locker and wardrobe space.
You’ll get a TV with anything up to a 21inch screen on the bracket fixed to the washroom wall. You may find your TV is set a little too high for comfortable watching, however.
The concertina blinds and flyscreens for the side and rear windows are neatly integrated. Adria has re-located the internal rear door lock to a higher position, just for ease of use. There’s even a recess for a couple of cups and more in the dining table.
So, the Adria Twin Supreme 600 SX is the same, but a bit different, then. Stylish, but not cheap. Clever on detail but far from fickle.

What height is it when the drop down bed is in the up position???
Hi Robert, that’s a really good question and we’re trying to find out for you. The overall internal height is 1900mm.
Nice van with interesting features. Good pictures
