It might have grown, but it’s stayed slim. Latest (2023 season) versions of Elddis’s Autoquest 115 motorhome are 6.16m long, some 44cm more than the original version, but overall width has been kept to an easy-going 2.20m.
The price fighter
And, although the price is now near £63,000, in relative terms this is very much a bargain two-berth motorhome in the current climate. The 115 kicks off the six-model Autoquest coachbuilt motorhome line-up from Elddis – it’s starred here for some 16 years now and arguably doesn’t get the recognition it deserves as one of the UK’s more popular motorhomes.
It has something of a classic floorplan – inward-facing settees aft of the cab, a kitchen across the back and a corner washroom – which is very much in keeping with its frill-free proposition.
In this video, we take a look around the all-new Elddis Autoquest 115 motorhome:
The exterior is similarly sensible. It’s a bonded construction with one-piece aluminium sides and a GRP layer of protection under the floor, all coming with a 10-year integrity warranty.
The base vehicle is, as ever, Peugeot’s Boxer, albeit latest 115s now use the long-wheelbase version of this long-popular chassis-cab. It promises better handling and, along with the 140bhp engine as the only offering, you’re unlikely to struggle for performance or economy. It’s good to see such essentials as twin airbags and air conditioning are listed as standard on today’s Autoquest motorhomes.
There’s also a digital radio, but you might be tempted by the touchscreen with satnav that’s offered as an upgrade.
With a Mass in Running Order of just 2,619kg, there’s more than plenty of payload here, too – ironically, though, you might not have the space to make the most of it.
Very much a couples-only motorhome, that front lounge area offers plenty of settee space should you ever have guests. You’ll sit around a free-standing table that stows in the wardrobe for travel. Both cab seats can be swivelled, too.
At night, the settees turn into a 2.07m x 1.33m transverse double bed thanks to metal-framed pull-out sections with height adjustable feet. You could consider two singles, but you’d both need to be happy with bed lengths of just 1.78m.
Across the back of the Elddis Autoquest 115 motorhome, the kitchen has sufficient kit for full meal preparations. The cooker has three gas rings and a separate grill and oven. There’s a Dometic 90-litre fridge with removable freezer. The sink has a black enamel finish and just about enough space to add a drainer while, despite a small slide-out section, worktop space is at a premium.
You do get three narrow drawers and floor and high-level lockers, and there is more workspace available (it’s much lower) thanks to the unit the other side of the habitation door, which also doubles as somewhere to place a TV.
In the rear offside corner, the washroom is accessed via a solid door. It’s compact, but you do get space to shower as well as a swivel-bowl toilet and circular countertop basin. An Ecocamel showerhead will help save water (the Autoquest 115 only has an 80-litre fresh tank). A shelved locker on the back wall provides adequate storage.
Fittings such as the Whale heating and hot water systems, with the water boiler fitted underfloor to save internal space, make perfect sense in a motorhome like this. Note, also, the dove-tailed furniture joints, proper chrome taps and latest upholstery with an easy-clean treatment.
Almost without peers at this price level, you might want to check out the badge-engineered Compass Avantgarde variant, as well as lots of dealer exclusive special edition spin-offs which, despite costing more, will be very well-equipped.

Good & accurate review.
Does damp come as standard on this model or does it just come on the dealer special like our 155?
