Bailey has wasted little time expanding its range of Ford Transit-based van conversions under the Endeavour name. The two-berth, high-top B63 here is one of two new models introduced for the 2025 season.
Let’s take a look around the Bailey Endeavour B63 campervan:
As ever, Ford’s Transit is the base and, like all Endeavours to date, it comes in Ford’s distinctive Chrome Blue paintwork with the latest lively 165bhp engine allied to an eight-speed automatic transmission – all part of a one-size-suits-all standard specification (ordering its base vehicles with all the same level of trim is a money-saver for Bailey that it can pass on to its customers). Note, also, Bailey is one of just a few motorhome manufacturers here in the UK that has Pro Convertor status from Ford.
Slide back that large side door on the Bailey Endeavour B63 campervan and you’re greeted by a large settee extending along the offside, as well as a free-standing footstool just inside the door. A generously proportioned dining table is also free-standing.
In turn, the settee can be used as a single bed or extended out for a 1.87m x 1.33m double.
The kitchen is along the offside, running from the end of the settee to the back door, and includes a Thetford Triplex cooker (three-ring hob, combined grill and oven), a circular sink and an 84-litre Thetford compressor fridge with six-litre freezer compartment.
There’s also lots of good drawer and cupboard storage, although admittedly the locker for the 6kg gas cylinder does impinge.
Opposite the kitchen, the Endeavour B63’s washroom is highly space-efficient, thanks in part to its curved tambour door – a clever double track enlarges the interior space when you’re in the washroom but, if it’s not going to be occupied, a second track creates more corridor width.
The washroom itself has all you’d expect in terms of a swivel-bowl toilet, shower area and an inset handbasin.
For showering, the basin’s tap extends and can be attached to a riser bar. Its trigger operation means you can save water, too. Also in here are high- and low-level locker storage, towel hooks, twin plugholes, decent sized mirror etc.
An all-encompassing standard specification takes in a Truma Combi heating and hot water system that runs from mains electricity and/or the base vehicle’s diesel supply, a 100Watt solar panel, Status 570 TV aerial, Thule wind-out awning, flyscreens and concertina blinds to all the living quarters windows, black alloy wheels, and plenty more.
Lighting throughout the Bailey Endeavour B63 campervan is generous, including reading lamps on stalks for each swivelled cab seat, as is the provision of mains and USB sockets.
Plenty of other details help make this such an attractive two-berth proposition.
Interflex Ocean is a sustainably produced recycled polyester fibre for the insulation, also acting to reduce noise and vibration.
Upper lockers are particularly capacious, with catches and handles that are notably user-friendly. And don’t forget the vehicle is just under 6m long, making it a viable proposition for everyday use, especially as driving it really is so easy.
As for Ford’s Transit, rather like the Bailey conversion, it boasts all the modern attributes you’d expect. That’s everything from a car-like padded steering wheel with controls, to a 12in touchscreen infotainment system that includes Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, to an electric handbrake.
A final bonus? The Bailey Endeavour B63 campervan can be driven on a standard car licence!
