For the 2025 season, Adria is giving things a go with a revised line-up of its Sun Living budget brand. That includes a trio of S-series coachbuilt motorhomes using Ford’s Transit as their base.
All three have the same £72,130 starting price, the main difference being the sleeping arrangements at the back – the S 72DL here being the most versatile in offering twin 2.00m x 0.75m permanent single beds with the ability to add extras cushions to make it a double (although the manufacturer rather cheekily suggests it will sleep three in this mode). There’s also a second double – a 1.90m x 1.25m bed ready to glide down into position over the lounge.
In this video we take you on a tour of the 2025 Sun Living S 72DL motorhome:
The initial price suggests you’re going to get a budget model that’s an Adria in all but name – these motorhomes even come out of the same state-of-the-art factory in Slovenia – but it wouldn’t be hard to get carried away with the options list and push the price up considerably.
The Sun Living S 72DL motorhome’s coachbuilt body is all-GRP, with fittings from the aluminium lower skirting to overcab opening sunroof keeping up the premium appeal.
It’s the 130bhp engine with six-speed manual gearbox to start things off, but there are also plenty of power, transmission and even maximum weight upgrades to consider, budget allowing. Plus there are soft furnishings alternatives, at no extra cost.
That Ford cab boasts plenty of star features too, not least the large touchscreen infotainment system that includes a satnav as well as the usual connectivities. A practical touch is the bullet lights over the swivelled cab seats, along with deeper shelving across the front of the overcab area – the types of things other manufacturers overlook.
Up front, these Sun Living S series motorhomes offer a lounge with inward-facing settees for on-site use around a. Each settee converts to a forward-facing seat with Isofix for travel.
The kitchen has a hob with three gas rings in a line, plus a deep sink. There’s also a Thetford Duplex combined oven and grill.
Storage includes two drawers as well as lockers at all levels – the lowest one, under the oven, has holders for three bottles, while the two high-level cupboards are both shelved.
The fridge is a Dometic slimline model with dual-hinges and an impressive 157-litre total capacity.
Other kitchen details here include a mains socket, black mixer tap, splashback panel and a small spice rack.
Washroom facilities in the Sun Living S 72DL motorhome include the usual swivel-bowl toilet and a space-efficient flip-down soakaway rather than a full handbasin.
For showering, there’s a sliding screen (a far better proposition than the cheaper curtains you can still get on budget models).
Also here are a rail for wet clothing, a large mirror, bigger than typical rooflight overhead and a large locker that will easily cope with all your toiletries.
Indeed, storage is a strong point for the Sun Living S 72DL motorhome – everything from the three lockers across the back wall, to space in the foot end of each bed base, to the extensive garage.
Final details range from reading lights on rails (along with USBs) for reading in bed, a flatscreen TV holder, Truma heating and hot water and a reversing camera – for a discount on your motorhome insurance with Caravan Guard.
For a so-called budget motorhome, this is very impressive, complete with all the backing of a superior build quality.
