The Autographs return! 2026 season sees Bailey’s re-introduction of a four-model coachbuilt motorhome range based, as previously, on Peugeot’s Boxer chassis-cab with Al-Ko extension.

In latest guise, the four-berth 79-4T here has a maximum weight of 4,500kg (you’ll need C1 category on your driving licence) and a whopping one-tonne plus payload. It might be a shade under 8m in length, but it’s 2.45m wide – this does indeed feel like a big motorhome.
In this video we walkthrough the 2026 Bailey Autograph 79-4T motorhome:
Under the bonnet of the Bailey Autograph motorhome is Peugeot’s 180bhp, Euro 6 engine, which combines with eight-speed automatic transmission for an easy-going, powerful drive. It’s Al-Ko’s chassis, added aft of the cab, that keeps overall height down and contributes to a more forgiving ride and better handling. It also means a lower, easier step to negotiate when you enter via the habitation door.

One of the 79-4T’s key features is the large garage at the back – although its side doors aren’t especially large. It does have lashing points, access to the Alde central heating boiler, a storage locker, shelves, strip lighting, mains and 12V sockets, drainage points, rubber flooring and a sliding door for accessing the garage from the living quarters.

The lounge’s main table is also stored in here – not the most ideal of locations.

The main bodywork is, of course, Bailey’s Alu-Tech, a construction system that’s been developed since Bailey first started making motorhomes, back in 2011.

This latest Autograph 79-4T sports a full-length Thule awning as standard. A spare wheel sits underneath at the back. There’s also an opening overcab sunroof, along with pleated blinds for the cab windows. And a 200Watt solar panel on the roof.
It’s very much a continental floorplan that Brits have also taken to their hearts.

There are permanent single beds at the back, set high to make the most of the garage storage space below.

A neat touch is the hinged section of the shelved unit on the back wall that can be pulled down for a handy hard surface between the beds. The unit itself also houses mains and USB-A and -C sockets.

Reading lights are in each corner and there’s a mounting bracket for a flatscreen TV close at hand.

Bed sizes are 1.89m (nearside) and 1.86m (offside), both 0.84m in width. Berths three and four are the 2.15m x 1.27m double made from the lounge seating.
Forward of the rear beds, there’s a plastic-lined shower cubicle on the offside, which includes twin plugholes, Ecocamel shower fittings in chrome, insets for holding shampoo bottles etc and a drop-down rail for wet clothing and the like.

Directly across the corridor, the toilet room’s swivel-bowl loo is set on a plinth, with a fixed corner basin set at an angle, served by a chrome sawn-neck mixer tap.

The main storage locker here has double mirrored doors, while details include a hook for a towel, plus a toilet roll holder on the back of the locker door under the basin, a larger than average rooflight and an Alde radiator.
You can also create a full-width washroom/changing area using the toilet room’s solid door and the bedroom divider.

There’s a step down from the shower and toilet room area to the kitchen, which is L-shaped to optimise storage and worktop space – although ironically the latter is still limited, and there’s no extension.

The Bailey Autograph 79-4T’s kitchen is otherwise well-equipped, though, with a Thetford full cooker (dual-fuel hob, separate oven and grill) and a 650Watt Russell Hobbs flatbed microwave oven.

There’s a flexi-tap tap for the sink, where the loose cover also does duty as worktop when in position, and can be flipped over for use as a chopping board.

Kitchen storage extends to two drawers and a section of slide-out chrome racking as well as the usual upper- and lower-level lockers. And two mains sockets. Thetford’s fridge/freezer is a 137-litre absorption model.

It’s a front lounge, with L-shaped and straight settees for on-site use, the former also offering forward-facing travel for two.

A circular coffee table behind the driver’s seat saves having to retrieve the main table from the garage at every stop.

A free-standing Sonos speaker, wireless phone charger, twin 95Ah leisure batteries, and plenty more, round off a very generous overall specification in this new Autograph.
You’ve every right to expect a lot from a £90,000-plus motorhome. And that’s exactly what this Bailey Autograph gives you.
