Correctly inflated tyres on your caravan and tow car for the load you’re towing are essential for your safety and stability on the road.
A caravan tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) allows you to keep in touch with your tyres whilst driving and most systems will alert you if there are any changes in pressure and temperature – reducing the risk of a tyre blowout.
In this month’s community poll, we’d like to know if you have a tyre pressure monitoring system on your caravan. Some manufacturers pre-fit them as standard to their tourers or there are aftermarket tyre pressure monitoring systems that can be added to your caravan and tow car, via sensors which you fit on your tyre valves and these wirelessly connect to a monitor mounted on your tow car dashboard.
Let us know which kind of system you have fitted, if you’re considering a TPMS in the future or if you don’t have one fitted at all by selecting one of the options below.
As always feel free to tell us why you do or don’t have a tyre pressure monitoring system when towing in the comments box.
We’ll report back the results in October as we take a look at a tyre pressure monitoring system and the importance of tyre safety.
Don’t forget to make a PACT for caravan tyre and wheel safety so you’re always safe when towing, with our four simple checks.
