The new Elddis Crusader Supersirocco
Crusaders have been Elddis’ top-spec caravans for more than 25 years, and the flagship Supersirocco lives up to its ‘super’ nametag.
It oozes indefinable quality and offers a lot more besides including a fixed bed, large fridge/freezer, separate rear dressing/washroom, inboard water, twin-axle stability and privacy glass.
The lounge inside the Supersirocco
The layout is of an L-shaped lounge, L-shaped kitchen opposite the fridge/freezer, fixed bed and full-width rear washroom.
It can be described as a luxury two-berth that also sleeps four.
It is also perfect for dining while watching telly. Upholstery design is modern and timelessly classy. Lighting comes in shades of pale green (LED strips that define front and bedroom windows) plus yellow-hue spotlights and large corner light, all 12-volt-powered. The kitchen gets a strip light over the hob – the whole effect is pleasing.
The Supersirocco’s kitchen area
Towards the end of the day you’ll want to turn on the lights earlier because the privacy tint windows give the caravan a cold, subdued look. There’s nothing cold about the heating system, though, with plenty of outlets for the blown air including two in the washroom. Storage all round gets top marks, too.
The shower is superbly spacious, with dark grey tile-effect walls. And the toilet is the new ceramic sort. All this luxury comes at a price; the Supersirocco weighs in at a hefty 1897kg.
Our verdict
This is a caravan that would best suit couples with the option of a second double bed that makes out of the L-shaped lounge when required. Both specification and build quality is high.
