Northton, on the The isle of Harris Scotland, if it was a hot day and i was took here blind folded and droped on the beach i would of thought i was on a remote island in the Caribean, but you can only get to it by foot, totaly amasing

  2. Jane says:

Has to be Wisemans Bridge,Saundersfoot and Tenby. So much to see and do. Lots of places to go. We go every year and never tire of the place. And the weather has always been hot. I went there as a child and loved it,now our children have loved it too. Always beats the weather here in Scotland. We always stay at the same quiet site. But there are all different sizes with all different facilities to choose from.

  3. keith says:

good cl site crabtree lane. small walk to the sea front then you can walk into sutton on sea people very friendly good chippy.or you can stoll along railway track, also good for cycling to mablethorpe.

  4. Ray Cauwood says:

Our favourite place is South Shields in our motor home you can park in the car park that is 100ft from the beach which is about a mile long of golden sand, and sand dunes,,, coming out of Shields heading towards Sunderland on the coast road about 1.5mls to 2mls on the left is a sign to a Waterside Carvery Inn turn left and follow down a narrow road towards the beach at the Inn turn left into a very large car park, I don’t know what the cost is as we are disabled and don’t pay, but believe me it’s worth every penny you will pay, you can watch the big ships heading down the River Tyne! for a great meal go to Morrisons about five miles towards Sunderland there fish and chips are great,

  5. Edwina Dorricott says:

Tenby and Saundersfoot cannot be beaten! Huge golden beaches and oh so clean! Castles galore for children of all ages to enjoy, fantastic views and right on the edge of Pembrokeshire National Park. Plenty of places to eat out from the tea rooms to great pubs/restaurants. The town can be lively at high season but there are plenty of places to go locally if that’s your scene. From busy Kiln Park near the town to tranquil Fresh Water East there is something for every one to enjoy!

    • Craig @ Caravan Guard says:

Edwina, think you’ve sold us on Tenby and Saundersfoot – it all sounds fantastic with something to do for everyone. Are you planning a trip there soon?

  6. Ashley Powell says:

Oh I think you missed some great seaside places from your list what about the great Dorset beches like Weymouth, and Swanage or Britain’s ONLY desert Dungeness with a charm unique to itself. or the fantastic coast of Northumberland with its fine sands and many castles and not just sand castles. COME ON BROADEN YOUR HORIZONS

    • Craig @ Caravan Guard says:

We struggled to list them all Ashley. So many great seaside resorts in the UK. That’s why we gave the option in the poll to vote for “other” and encouraged you to put your other suggestions in the comments below as you have done. Thank you for raising Dungeness, a great suggestion, and not only classified as Britains only desert but also renowned for its wide variety of wildlife I see.

  7. Jeannie Cooper says:

I had a lovely holiday in the Outer Hebrides in June, in my Romahome. The scenery was spectacular and the beaches were the best I have ever seen. Nearly white sand with light blue sea. Lots of off road over night parking, waking up to the song of the sky lark.Beaches at Hushinish and Luskentyre are a must. Great for walkers and cyclists. The Islands welcome caravans/motor homes, having leaflets where fresh water and toilet cleaning facilities are available. A wonderful laid back holiday.

    • Craig @ Caravan Guard says:

The Outer Hebrides sounds a great call Jeannie. I bet not many people think to visit in a caravan or motorhome.

  8. Michael Hill says:

    Burnham on sea!

  9. David Atkinson says:

Great site overlooking the sea, good pubs and cafés, good place
