  1. Norm Cook says:

Heading into Glastonbury Festival I had just done a couple of miles across country heading for the Oxfam volunteers campsite. As I got nearer to the campsite the track which had been largely hardcore was replaced by aluminium track widely used on festival sites giving a much smoother road and good grip. I arrived at a point where a traffic steward directed me off of the track onto a side lane, a bit wet but ok, as I left the track he shouted “sorry, you need to go straight on” too late now so he directed me to turn in a loop back onto the track. I went ten yards and became stuck, down to the hubs in the mud. I sat waiting for a tow, Glastonbury being notorious for mud, but had to wait over an hour as my colleagues drove past blowing their horns as they went. I made quite an entrance with the assistance of a land rover. I’ve been stuck in festival field before but this was the first time being towed in. Getting out a week later? didn’t go well either.
