Bailey of Bristol says “get ready for more of what you want” with its new 75th anniversary edition Phoenix GT75 caravan range. We got to take a first look at their exclusive media launch.
The news
Available in dealerships in September, there’s a choice of the five most popular single-axle layouts from the current Phoenix range, plus an all-new, super spacious, twin-axle Phoenix GT75 672 with fixed twin bunks, two separate seating areas, and a full-width end washroom.
Bailey says its best-selling Phoenix caravan range is better than ever with stylish new looks, both inside and out – striking the perfect balance between space, comfort and affordability.
This lightweight range of tourers is built using Bailey’s Alu Tech construction technology, cloaked in a GRP outer skin in ‘polar white’ and ‘dove grey’, plus a bold new anniversary graphics package.
Practical features include an AL-KO stabiliser hitch, TUV-tested 14” alloy wheels and a two-part GRP skin exterior door with a new high-security door lock.
Among the upgrades
Each Phoenix GT75 caravan has a centrally located ‘Media centre’ which includes:
- A SONOS portable speaker with integral storage
- A smartphone wireless charging pad including two USB sockets and a dedicated TV point with 230v, 12v and aerial sockets.
Plus, there are five more 230v sockets and two extra USB points throughout the caravan so everybody in the family can remain powered up.
All models are fitted with a fully specified Truma combi heating system and hot water system as well as being pre-wired for wi-fi. Plus, all services are on the offside for enhanced practicality.
Also new are:
- Bailey’s signature, vertical front window, and new ‘Cashmere’ decorative finishes and ‘Warm grey marble’ worktop surfaces complement the existing Bailey ’Light Oak’ furniture.
- Choice of two new soft furnishing options – either the standard ‘Hatton’ or optional ‘Amersham’ schemes – both of which feature premium grade fabrics, superior cushion construction and fully sprung lounge base seats. The optional ‘Amersham’ upholstery scheme features Aquaclean fabrics, meaning it can be wiped clean with just water – perfect when going away with the family or pets!
- Re-designed curved overhead locker doors with dual chrome profiles.
- Updated washroom with Belfast-style sink and mixer tap in the washroom
- Branded 700 watt microwave oven with non-moving ceramic hot plate
What Bailey says
“The introduction of the new GT75 limited edition brings an enhanced level of refinement to our best-selling Phoenix range. Enhanced exterior and interior looks plus a new hi-tech media centre, which adds to an already impressive product specification, combined with accessible unladen weights and a competitive retail price make Phoenix an extremely attractive proposition for anybody considering their first new caravan purchase.”
Pick-of-the-range
The only twin-axle in the Phoenix GT75 range is the 762.
It’s a six-berth at 7.6m long, with a £27,499 price tag, fixed bunks, a large lounge and end washroom.
This family-friendly layout has a dinette mid-van with push-up bunks and this area can be separated off at night.
Innovative storage solutions include a dedicated welly and coat area by the door and a spacious wardrobe in the washroom.
That stable door is also at the back of the caravan and has a new high-security door look, waste bin and coat hook.
