    Tea first thing then coffee and in the evening a brandy and coke with lots of ice

    To my mind this is a somewhat difficult poll to give a single answer to. If it’s really hot then a cold cider, but if a warm sunny evening then perhaps a G&T or a Pastis, if with friends a bottle of wine, if a cold winters evening then a Whisky or Brandy.
    So to my mind it’s an impossible question!

    Well done Dave for pointing out that Whisky spelt with an “ey”
    is Irish (although I must say I knew already)
    My favorite tipples are the single malts, Cardhu – Strathisla and Singleton in particular,
    there is also a very palatable Welsh contender, in “Penderyn”
    although that Celtic offering, is spelt “Wisgi”
    over the years have fount more effective than the “Flu Jab”
    and certainly more pleasant

    I would vote Whisky, ie Scottish whisky which has no E. (Whiskey is American or sometimes Irish. )
    You cannae beat a good Speyside single malt.

    In the van we have gin, brandy, whiskey, beer and copious amounts of red wine. The thing is you can never know how far away the local supermarket is so best be prepared.
