Caravan Guard policies have been underwritten by RSA (formerly Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance) for more than 20 years, providing high quality insurance for caravans, motorhomes, campervans and more. Please note from 6th October 2025, RSA became Intact Insurance.
Why do you need to know?
There are no changes to the Caravan Guard team or our insurance policies, but you might start to notice the new name if you make a claim or receive any communication from our underwriters.
It’s going to take us a little while to change the mentions of RSA within our documents and across our websites to Intact Insurance. But rest assured your cover and service remain unchanged.

When making a claim as a Caravan Guard customer, you’ll continue to speak to the same highly trained, specialist UK-based teams within Intact Insurance, making sure your claim is handled quickly and efficiently. These teams can be contacted using the same helpline numbers you can find in your existing policy booklets and here online.
You’ll also still be able to report non-emergency claims via our online claims portal, which you can access via www.caravanguard.co.uk/newclaim .

Hi Clive, we appreciate your concerns. As mentioned in the article, Intact have owned the RSA brand since 2021 so we have been working with them for the last four years.
Under the new ownership we’ve already seen a number of very positive advancements particularly in claims handling. Intact Insurance are very customer service driven.
As the company have moved to consolidate to a single name, we’re already discussing several new initiatives that should only serve to strengthen our products and claims handling for our customers.
