The most obvious thing about the Affinity 574 caravan from Elddis is it has no direct rivals. That’s in terms of its floorplan, which puts fixed single beds at the back, a typical twin-settee lounge at the front, and kitchen and washroom facilities in the middle of the ‘van.
In this video we take a walkthrough the 2025 Elddis Affinity 574 caravan:
There’s a toilet room at the foot of the offside bed, while a shower cubicle is at the base of the nearside sleeper.
The former is home not just to a swivel-bowl toilet but also a countertop handbasin, as well as a high-level locker and shelving. Also here are a mirror, and a radiator/towel rail.
The shower cubicle is plastic-lined and comes with a water-efficient Ecocamel Orbit showerhead on a riser bar, but just the one drainage point below.
The solid door to the toilet room and a sliding partition allows you to create a full-width washroom area when needed.
Like its two Affinity sister models, the 574 caravan boasts GRP bodywork that extends to a protective layer under the vehicle. It’s an otherwise understated external look, with low-key graphics.
The Elddis Affinity 574 caravan also has a typical three-window front, with fixed sunroof as well as a large opening rooflight over the lounge that extends almost as far as the kitchen.
Worth noting, too, are the re-designed front and back panels along with hitch cover, skirtings and cappings that are new to all Affinity models this season.
Inside, there’s a quality feel to the dark wood furniture finish, complemented by light soft furnishings and worktops.
As well as those twin permanent rear beds (both set low for particularly easy access), the lounge converts to a double bed, that’s long at 1.99m but not particularly wide, at 1.22m. That compares with 1.85m x 0.77m for the rear singles, which also benefit from large padded headboards, plus a Midi Heki rooflight.
The bed bases are slatted for extra support and ventilation to the mattresses – and they hinge open for access to storage areas.
The kitchen in the Elddis Affinity 574 caravan has a full cooker (dual-fuel hob, separate oven and grill) on the far right, with a stainless steel rectangular sink – complete with loose cover/chopping board to its immediate left.
That allows for some permanent worktop, plus a fold-up extension section.
Storage includes a good selection of drawers as well as upper- and lower-level lockers, plus a dedicated locker for the lounge’s free-standing table.
Other handy fittings include two mains sockets and a splash panel. And there’s an 800Watt microwave oven with glass plate although its location, directly over the hob, won’t appeal to some.
Across the corridor, the fridge is a 98-litre Dometic model, which is not the biggest. It’s set at floor level, to allow for a wardrobe above.
The goodies keep coming, with a Pioneer radio/infotainment system, Teleco Teleplus TV aerial, spare wheel and underslung carrier, bike rack fixing points, black alloy wheels etc. The central heating is a programmable Alde system.
There’s another important update for the 2025 caravan season. It’s the choice of options packs that allows you to spec’ up to the right levels for your personal needs as well as extra security, which will attract some savings off your caravan insurance with Caravan Guard.
