However you want to say it (officially, it’s pronounced “el-nag”), there’s no doubting the Italian marque is back with a bang in the UK.
Back in the business of budgeting
And a bang is certainly what you get for your bucks in the latest line-up – four coachbuilt motorhome models using Peugeot’s Boxer as their base.
It also represents the first time a Boxer has been seen with automatic transmission here in the UK. It’s a hefty premium, however. Indeed, it’s the only one of two factory-fit options on offer. You can always try Elnagh’s importer, Marquis Leisure, for extras it can add – the likes of on-board wi-fi, stereo upgrades, awnings, bike racks etc.
In this video we take a walkthrough the 2025 Elnagh Baron 560 motorhome:
The Elnagh Baron 560 motorhome here is a four-berth, with a small garage under its rear double bed. There’s no doubt key to its success will be its razor-sharp £67,995 starting price.
Bodywork is all-GRP, including the underfloor, with a five-year integrity warranty. Total payload is a healthy 590kg, but you can stow up to 300kg of gear in the garage. Note, its lower level doors, making loading and unloading that bit easier, while inside there’s a 230V socket, lighting and a heater outlet.
The habitation door is a one-piece with two locking points, window, flyscreen and waste bin. It’s UK nearside location will appeal especially to those who aren’t considering travel abroad.
Inside, you’re greeted by a typical continental floorplan, with a front lounge that’s adequate in size, offering space for four (possibly more) to sit around the fixed pedestal leg table at mealtimes.
Beyond the seating, the extended V-shaped kitchen has just the two rings on its hob, with a Thetford Duplex combined oven and grill set low below.
There’s a large circular sink in stainless steel, with storage underneath including a slide-out cutlery drawer and shelf section. There’s just the single locker overhead.
Thetford’s fridge with freezer has a 142-litre gross capacity. To its right, there’s an almost equally generous, clutter-free wardrobe with hanging rail.
Bed sizes are 2.07m x 1.30m for the rear double and 1.92m x 1.23m/1.03m for the drop-down – the latter electrically operated.
There are a couple of fixed steps to help access to the rear bed, but it’s also set lower than some – indeed, it can be raised or lowered to optimise storage space below.
There are lockers across the back wall and a single window, on the offside, where you’ll also find two reading lights on stalks, also with USB ports in their bases.
It’s also the kind of layout that leaves decent space for the washroom and its separate shower cubicle.
The shower itself is on a riser bar, plus there’s a fixed hanging rail and a rooflight in here, plus the second plughole underfoot is always welcome.
That leaves space for a swivel-bowl toilet and inset handbasin set over a locker, and a further locker overhead. All that’s really lacking here are some hooks.
Despite best efforts to keep that price low, there’s plenty of standard kit on the Elnagh Baron 560 motorhome to keep you comfortable. Heating/hot water is Truma’s more powerful Combi 6E, fresh and waste water tanks are both 100 litres, there’s a leisure battery, opening overcab sunroof, two-tone locker door finish and more.
Meanwhile, the Peugeot cab comes with air conditioning, steering wheel controls etc and the 140bhp engine as its the sole power offering.
If you want enhancements, start with the Adventure Pack, which comprises a 9in screen Pioneer stereo system offering DAB and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, 100Watt solar panel, TV aerial and rear parking sensors.

Verdict: Baron rules as a bit of a bargain
Plus: Competitively priced, GRP bodywork, good bed arrangements
Minus: Well equipped for the money… but you’re probably going to need that Adventure Pack
In-a-nutshell: Unashamedly bargain basement
Alternatives: Auto-Trail Expedition C73
