The 2026 season sees Swift re-introducing the 630 to its Challenger Grande caravan line-up – but this is a far distant beast to the version that last saw light of day back in 2015.
It takes its place as one of three twin axles in a 10-model Challenger portfolio for the 2026 season. Its Grande title denotes it’s a wider-bodied unit, too, coming in at a maximum weight of 1,781kg.
In this video, we walkthrough the all-new 2026 Swift Challenger Grande 630 caravan:
This latest Swift Challenger Grande 630 caravan is certainly an interesting layout – from its U-shaped front lounge to its rear transverse French bed. You can also make a double from the inward-facing U-shaped seating in the middle of this vast caravan. Both seating zones have pedestal leg tables.
You’ll doubtless recognise the current Challenger look. 2026 versions come with grey side walls complemented by screen printed windows also in a grey tint, plus of course the graphics have been changed for the new season.
As with all Swift products, it uses Swift’s Smart bodywork construction – a process that includes GRP-clad sides and roof, timber-free framework – backed by a 10-year warranty.
The 630’s exterior also carries plenty of premium features – chrome grab handles, mains and gas sockets, 15in alloy wheels, right through to a 120Watt solar panel.
Then there are practical fittings like the step-on cover for the hitch, partly recessed colour-matched awning rail and fixing points for a bike rack at the back. The main door even comes complete with a dustpan and brush.
There’s modern grey and white colours scheme for the interior too (it also allows you to add your own dashes of colour in terms of extra cushions, throws, rugs etc, of course).
Upholstery has an Aquaclean finish for stain resistance, while the floor carpets can be bleached when it comes to cleaning. Improvements to the seating itself include enhanced springing along with new tri-foam backrest sections.
The Swift Challenger Grande 630 is spacious enough in its own right, but the interior also feels particularly light and airy thanks to fittings like the Dometic sunroof, while all windows are fitted with full blackout blinds for when you want an effective shut-out of light.
When it comes to night-time, there’s a choice of where to sleep. And in each case bed sizes are generous – the French bed across the back is some 2.03m x 1.38m and has Duvalay’s latest Duvalite Strato mattress, which comes with a platinum support layer and reflex foam with memory fibre – in short, it means a pretty much guaranteed good night’s sleep.
The double made from the side seating has similar dimensions (1.91m x 1.43m), while longer still, albeit slightly narrower, is the 2.26m x 1.29m at the front.
There’s a comprehensive kitchen with the usual full cooker (three gas burners, electric hotplate, separate oven and grill) and large capacity fridge with freezer (142 litres).
The circular sink is in stainless steel and there’s a worktop extension.
A welcome addition is the slide-out chrome racking in the locker below the counter. And the microwave oven is now the latest flatbed model, conveniently set over the wash-up area.
Beyond the kitchen and between that French bed, the washroom facilities are split between a shower cubicle and a swivel-bowl toilet plus fixed handbasin – with the usual facility to create a full-width changing area, when needed.
The shower has bi-folding doors and Ecocamel’s Jetstorm showerhead with on/off trigger, plus the latest stipple-effect wallboarding.
The all-new 630 also gains plenty of the enhancements Swift is offering across the whole Challenger series for the season ahead – such as Truma’s new CombiNeo heating system with its promise of a continuous supply of hot water; extensive electrical sockets (mains, USB A and C, and 12V0); wireless phone charger; FM/DAB stereo; Status 570 TV aerial; TV stations front and back etc.
For now, if you want a full-width, six-berth twin axle tourer with a French bed at the back, your choices are very limited. This latest Swift Challenger Grande 630 may have found a niche for itself.
