Family of four but watching your weight as well as demanding the keenest of prices? This new Sprite caravan from Swift could fill the gap.
Let’s take a quick walkthrough of the 2026 Swift Sprite Alpine 4 DB caravan:
Weights first and the Swift Sprite Alpine 4 DB caravan comes in at a seriously low 1,263kg. It’s only some 6.45m from taillights to tow hitch, but it has a particularly space-efficient floorplan that gives it its full four-berth status.
That starts with a conventional two-settee front lounge with a free-standing table and, on the front bulkhead, a tabletop extension spanning the gap between the seating.
The windows to the seating areas have curtains as well as roller blinds and flyscreens. Sprite caravan fans might just notice a bit of extra comfort and support from the latest sprung seat bases and foam backrests, too.
The Sprite Alpine 4 DB’s kitchen is mid-‘van offside and includes a Thetford Triplex cooker with three gas rings and a combined oven and grill.
A Dometic 98-litre fridge takes up much of the under-counter space, but there’s still room for a locker between the fridge and cooker, with a slide-out cutlery tray, and another floor locker under the oven. There are also two upper-level lockers.
There’s also permanent worktop space to the left of the sink, with two mains sockets nearby.
Opposite the kitchen is a large wardrobe, with provision to stow footwear as well as clothing. The free-standing table also lives here when not needed.

The back of the Swift Sprite Alpine 4 DB caravan is split between a washroom that takes the rear offside corner and a single dinette on the opposite side.

The latter includes single seats either side of a side-fixing table.
At night, you can create bunk beds here – at 1.80m x 0.63m (lower) and 1.72m x 0.59m (upper) – their dimensions are best suited to children.
There’s a curtain for a bit of privacy.
There’s a solid door to the washroom, with the inside following the standard pattern of a fixed corner handbasin, then a swivel-bowl toilet and a separate shower cubicle.
It’s a small shelf unit rather than a locker and a mirror over the basin, but no window, are examples of Swift keeping production costs down.

It’s not all about price paring, though. Washroom features include an Ecocamel Jetstorm shower on a riser bar with a trigger action on/off for water saving, clothes hooks, and a towel rail and a locker under the basin, plus a standard rooflight for ventilation.

Elsewhere in the Swift Sprite Alpine 4DB caravan, standard fittings range from Truma Combi heating and hot water, to alloy wheels, right through to details such as locker doors with positive, easy-to-operate catches, and a double USB portal (with A- and C sockets) on the front bulkhead.

The 4 DB has the usual “smiley face” front that Swift gives its Sprites. That means three opening windows and a fixed sunroof plus a large, double-locking locker.

The main bodywork uses outer and inner walls, roof and underskin in GRP around a polyurethane framework with polystyrene insulation. The bodywork comes with a 10-year warranty.
As ever, Swift leaves it to its dealers to sort an on-the-road cost and optional extra prices. It does mean you might find yourself casting around for the best overall price deal, but do remember, a good retailer as near to you as possible is, appropriately enough in this scenario worth its weight.
