In fact, their original home is preserved as it would have been in their day and contains many of their original possessions.
Brontë country, as it is known, has much to offer the visitor, from the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, a steam railway used as the location for the classic film The Railway Children, to the self-guided walk to Top Withens, thought to be the inspiration for Emily Brontë’s novel, Wuthering Heights. There’s also a great selection of museums and stately homes to visit in the area as well as shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs.
