A classic two-berth floorplan from something of an iconic marque – delivering low weight, up-to-the-minute style and a keen price – this model here kicking off the seven-strong Sprite caravan line-up for 2025.
In this video, we take a closer look at the 2025 Swift Sprite Alpine 2 caravan:
Keeping the Swift Sprite Alpine 2’s MTPLM (maximum weight) down to 1,247kg makes for a unit that can be towed by a large number of vehicles – there’s an Al-Ko stabiliser as standard, with ATC (Al-Ko Traction Control) worth considering from the factory-fitted options list, whilst you might even want to talk to your supplying dealer about a motor mover, even for something as small as this.
But it’s easy to manage on-site, too – not just thanks to its relatively light weight, but also its short 6.05m overall length and 2.25m width. Swift have made sure it looks like a typical tourer rather than some diminutive version – with a three-windowed front, chrome grab handles, upmarket graphics etc.
2025 season also sees Sprites – which have been part of the Swift stable since the turn of the century – better equipped than ever before. Features such as 15in alloy wheels and even an upgrade for the Al-Ko chassis all come as standard.
There’s plenty that’s new in the Swift Sprite Alpine 2’s washroom, too. Its location means there’s space for a separate shower cubicle on the nearside, accessed via a folding door. Unusually, even for a budget caravan these days, the cubicle isn’t plastic-lined, plus there’s just the one plughole.
The water-saving Ecocamel Jetstorm shower is on a riser bar, however, and there’s a double hook to cater for your clothes while you’re showering.
There’s a new hand basin and tap, plus swivel-bowl toilet, with a double door beyond the latter opening to reveal the wardrobe.
Washroom details include towel and toilet roll holders, downlighters for the shower as well as ambient lighting elsewhere, plus a locker under the basin.
As mentioned, the Swift Sprite Alpine 2 represents a classic two-berth caravan layout with the full-width washroom across the back complemented by a side kitchen and standard two-settee front lounge.
Mid-‘van on the offside, the kitchen has a dual-fuel hob – another Sprite first – for its Thetford cooker, which also comes with a separate oven and grill.
The 142-litre fridge with freezer compartment is also new for 2025, as is the swan-neck mixer tap serving the circular stainless steel sink.
There’s also a flatbed microwave oven, set high but away from directly over the hob, at the worktop extension end of the kitchen unit.
Storage includes a drawer with a cutlery tray inset, a lower-level double locker with fixed racking and a section to hold the loose chopping board and drainer, plus there are two mains sockets and lighting controls.
An opening sunroof and large rooflight help let in extra daylight to give the main interior area a light and airy feel. At night you can choose between making two singles (1.90m x 0.70m nearside, 1.80m x 0.70m offside) or a 2.02m x 1.80m double from that front seating.
Entertainment is catered for with a JVC stereo system (DAB/FM radio, Bluetooth connectivity, USB socket etc) with speakers in the ceiling section between the sunroof and the main rooflight. You also get a Status 570 aerial and 230V and 12V sockets for your TV.
Other standard fittings in the Swift Sprite Alpine 2 range from a Truma Combi system for heating and hot water to roller blinds with flyscreens, a double USB charging port on the front bulkhead, door flyscreen, and even details such as twin tracking for the curtains, and more.
And it’s all clad in a GRP body that will take the knocks, also coming with a 10-year integrity warranty – the same as every other caravan from the Swift stable.
