Swift has revealed its first pop-top campervan – the all-new Swift Monza.
They say it’s a “fusion of Ford and Swift expertise” and that the “Monza is designed for adventurous couples and young families seeking versatility from the everyday to the getaway.”
Monza, built on a Ford Tourneo Custom, is the ultimate ‘everyday getaway’ – the ideal vehicle for any journey or adventure – from commuting to shopping and from mountains to coastal roads. And with a similar footprint to a standard family car, it presents the opportunity for perspective owners to swap out a standard day-to-day car for a versatile vehicle, that’s ready for action.
The Swift Monza as Magnetic Grey metallic exterior as standard and a choice of three optional exterior colours, 17” alloy wheels and chrome detailing.
Inside, Monza also comes with a choice of two interior schemes – a light cream scheme or a deep grey. There’s the usual rock ‘n’ roll rear passenger seats that can be pushed backwards and forwards on dedicated runners, under seat storage, wardrobe and kitchen cupboard layout.
By day, the Monza can carry five passengers including the driver, and by night, it can be home for four. The rear seats fold flat to create a double bed, and a push-up pop-top above reveals a drop down bed for two.
For meal preparation and on-board cooking there’s a two-burner gas hob, 42L drawer fridge, sink, external BBQ point and optional Dometic mini grill.
Offering enjoyable driving, Monza is furnished with Ford’s latest Ice pack 23, featuring DAB radio with 8’’ touchscreen and Apple CarplayTM/Android AutoTM, Bluetooth phone syncing and steering wheel controls. Extra touches, such as front and rear parking sensors, rear-view camera get you a discount on your campervan insurance with Caravan Guard. Cruise control and leather-wrapped steering wheel complete the overall appeal.
For off-grid adventures there’s a 100W solar panel that can keep the fridge running and electricals topped up, while the 2.2kw Eberspacher diesel heating keeps you warm on the cooler nights. Plus, there’s fresh and waste water tanks, an external shower point and a Dometic portable toilet, hidden in a dedicated space.
Swift Group Commercial Director, Nick Page, said they were extremely proud to launch their very first campervan.
“We’re known for our wide and credible ranges of leisure vehicles across touring caravans, motorhomes and holiday homes and lodges, so to now add a campervan to our line-up is absolutely brilliant,” he said. “We know there’s a hunger for access to regular adventures, and Monza really does open up the travelling opportunities. We’ll be officially launching Monza in February at the Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show at the NEC, and we can’t wait to debut it there and see the reaction from visitors.”
The on the road price of the Swift Monza is £58,395.
