Do you need touring caravan insurance?

Insurance for a touring caravan is not a legal requirement; a car insurance policy will need to cover third party liability for accidents caused while towing, however it will not pay to repair or replace your caravan. There are almost half a million touring caravans in use in the UK and it is a good idea to have specialist caravan insurance which gives your caravan cover for accidental damage, fire, theft, storm and flood damage whilst towing or in storage.  You also need to consider the equipment that you use and how much it would cost to replace if damaged or stolen.
