Camp-let may date back to the 1960s, but it continues to churn out modern, well-made folding campers from its base in Denmark. These days part of Isabella (best known for high quality awnings etc), Camp-let’s Passion under review here is one of a whole portfolio products that have led the way in this sector for a number of decades now.

This is the unbraked 500kg model (you can have a braked version, but it’s not proved popular in the UK), designed for all-season use as well as coming at a maximum weight that means it can be towed by just about any car, even electric variants.
In this video, we take a tour of the 2026 Camp-let Passion trailer tent:
Starting weights for the Camp-let Passion are as little as 270kg, yet it will host a family of four, with sleeping in two separate bedrooms on 2m x 1.4m foam mattresses on solid bases.

The other key theme here is the use of premium quality materials – the fabrics for the tent part and the tough, marine-grade GRP for the trailer unit – the former featuring canvas from Isabella itself, the latter a typical Camp-let body that folds out to give you the bedrooms/daytime seating.

The trailer unit is strong enough to take bikes or other loads on the top and comes with alloy wheels and corner steadies.

The sidewalls use Isacryl 295g/m2, while overhead is a double-layer UV-resistant polyester, called Isaroof light 240g/m2. Both fabrics are also designed to be quick drying and easy to clean.

Underfoot is a tough 380g/m2 PVC, while all windows are tinted and come with flyscreens and zipped curtains.
There’s a choice of kitchen units to add from the options list, depending on whether you want to go full cordon bleu or keep things a bit more basic.

It’s the Deluxe kitchen that’s the most popular choice. It gives you two gas rings, some worktop, electric tap, 10-litre water container and washing-up bowl, as well as storage for utensils and other kitchen kit in two drawers and lockers, as well as a shelf.

And there’s a fold out support section with adjustable legs at the opposite end to the hinges to keep it all steady once set up.
Whichever kitchen you opt for, it’s incorporated into the trailer’s tailgate, hinging out for easy access, plus it can also be used on short, roadside stops without having to unfold the rest of the unit.

For regular on-site, use, you’ll want to consider the kitchen canopy option. Also popular is the front sun canopy with front panel.
More storage is under the bedrooms – one fully enclosed, with flooring.

Among the other details are three storage pockets per bedroom, a verandah pole that can be used on either side at the front, the windows on both sides can be opened, and there’s a canopy to the front.

Standing height is 1.90m-2.25m.
It’s also particularly easy to pitch, with Isabella claiming it should only take about 15 to 20 minutes for the standard model to be ready for use – it does take a while to learn the process of where and when to add the various struts and supports.

Towing couldn’t be easier, either. The overall dimensions mean you can see past both sides as well as over the top of the folded unit – so there’s no need for towing mirrors. And you’ll soon see your overall fuel consumption is barely affected by having the Camp-let Passion in tow.
Finally, it’s interesting to note Isabella is operating a “Try Before You Buy” scheme for potential Passion buyers, with the opportunity to spend up to four nights with a unit based on a campsite in Shropshire.
