Gas is an essential fuel for caravan and motorhome life – but gas safety is equally as important.
We’ve brought you our top tips for making sure your gas is working properly and in our latest giveaway we have two new GasStop safety devices up for grabs for a caravanner and a motorhome owner.
GasStop will instantly shut off your gas supply in the event of a major leak or system failure, plus it also indicates when you’re gas supply is running low.
What is GasStop?
GasStop works in nearly all caravan and motorhome gas setups and fits between your propane gas cylinder and your low pressure regulator (up to 50 mbar). It will immediately shut-off 100% of the gas supply in the event of a major leak.
GasStop has to be reset by the user and will only allow gas to flow once the problem has been fixed. It also safeguards gas bottles that aren’t in use and out of sight – if the tap accidentally turns on (in transit or if a child is playing with it) GasStop will shut-off the supply until your system is safe.
The device is easy to install and can also be used to test for minor leaks – allowing you to make sure your gas system is leak–free before use. Plus, its handy gauge lets you know when you’re running low on gas so you can plan your refill ahead of time.
GasStop has recently launched in the UK and is now on sale from Bailey’s accessory store Prima Leisure. It can also be bought online from Amazon. The cost of the device is around £40 and it comes with a five year manufacturer’s warranty.

Sounds a sensible and effective device to have.
We used ones of these in a hire van in Australia last year. Very useful. But you need to know how it works else you think your gas is empty when it’s not. But I thinks it’s mandatory there which makes sense.
brilliant idea also safely for anyone, if I don’t win I shall buy one soon
Any device that helps is a good device
Excellent safety device with the benefit of knowing how much gas is left. Better than shaking the bottle and guessing!
