That’s a launch price in the data panel opposite. But it’s just one of the attractions of the new-for-2026 Kompakt 55 motorhome model from Italy’s Mobilvetta.

At 2.14m, it’s particularly slim for a coachbuilt motorhome. And its overall 6.39m length means it’s reasonably compact. Base vehicle is Fiat’s Ducato, powered by the 140bhp engine with eight-speed automatic transmission as standard. Also standard in the cab is automatic air conditioning and a Pioneer infotainment system with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, sat nav and rear-view monitoring, the latter likely reducing your insurance premium.

In this video, we take a tour of the 2026 Mobilvetta Kea Kompakt 55 motorhome:
The one-piece habitation door is on the UK nearside. Like the rest of the bodywork, its window is flush-fitting. At the back, there’s a sizeable garage that also has a notably high load limit of 300kg. Also in here is a 230V socket, connection point for an external shower, lashing points, lighting and heating.

Just as the exterior of the Mobilvetta Kea Kompakt 55 has a modern look to it, there’s a similar cutting-edge feel inside. Indeed, the interior really does make the most of the space on offer, starting with a large lounge with a fixed pedestal leg table – electrically adjustable for height, with a hinged top to fold over when you want to make the most of access around the seating.

Upholstery is a faux leather in ivory and those settees also convert to single seats for safe travel.
Overhead is a drop-down double bed – again with electrical operation – with maximum dimensions of 1.9 m x 1.4 m. Or you can make a double from the lounge seating (1.90m x 1.50m/0.97m)

Beyond the lounge/bed area, the kitchen is limited to a two-ring hob with hinged glass lid, plus a fully inset sink with its own loose cover.
There’s a single, large high-level locker as well as two large drawers in the main kitchen unit and a locker housing slide-out racking.

The small clip-on tray and storage pot are neat ideas, while across the corridor is a 158-litre compressor Thetford fridge with freezer, plus a Thetford Duplex oven/grill located below.

Beyond the kitchen is the washroom, equipped with a swivel-bowl toilet, a deep, inset handbasin and a separate shower cubicle with folding doors and two plugholes and the shower itself on a riser bar. Access is via a sliding door and there’s a step up to get in here.

At the very back of the Mobilvetta Kea Kompakt 55 motorhome is a comprehensive, full-width storage area that includes a hanging rail, plus open shelving and drawers on both sides – surely more than sufficient to take all your clothing, no matter how long your tour.

Truma’s more powerful Combi 6DE provides the warm air heating and hot water. A 200Watt solar panel, 16in alloy wheels, wireless phone charger, flatscreen TV bracket, even a small pocket for your keys just inside the habitation door, and more, round off a pretty comprehensive specification.

Indeed, officially there’s no factory-fitted options list for this motorhome. Instead, UK importer Marquis Leisure (part of the Auto-Sleeper Group that, in turn, is owned by Trigano) says you’re welcome to discuss any extra fittings – from awnings to satellite TV to air suspension and more, when you go to view this Mobilvetta motorhome at any of its 12 branches, along with two other appointments – Calder Campers in Scotland and Camper NI in Northern Ireland.
Style is what any Mobilvetta motorhome is all about. It certainly has it here in abundance. But the Kompakt 55 is also highly practical if you want a go-anywhere coachbuilt motorhome that won’t break the bank.
