Coachman has five VIP caravans for the 2026 season, three single axle models, two twins. And here’s the tourer that sits right in the middle of the line-up. The 545 has a rear bedroom with island bed, and the ability to create a full-width washroom in front of it.

Of course, it boasts the familiar current Coachman look – starting at the front with two lockers and three, flush-fitting opening windows that blend into one, looks wise, with Coachman’s usual bonded bodywork construction including ABS front and rear panels.

In this video we take a tour of the 2026 Coachman VIP 545 caravan:
Exterior fittings extend to a sunroof, hitch cover that’s strong enough to stand on for vehicle cleaning, gas and mains sockets, an upgraded battery locker that also houses satellite TV and aerial connections, and more. There’s a roof-mounted air conditioner option, but it takes overall height up to 2.75m.

Inside the Coachman VIP 545 is a typical, modern-day caravan floorplan, too. A four-berth in name, it’s a layout much favoured by caravanning couples who want the out-and-out luxury of an island bed, retaining twin settee daytime seating at the front.

The kitchen runs along the offside behind the lounge, while the latest washroom facility has a separate shower cubicle and toilet room with sufficient doors to create a full-width washroom as needed – with a countertop handbasin on the wall at the foot of the bed.

The bed is also retractable, for when you want access around it.

The Coachman VIP 545’s compromise, if any, is the shorter settees at the front. Again, fine if there’s just the two of you. And at night-time, if you’ve young children you might find the 1.50m x 1.4m singles sufficient. Alternatively, you can turn the settees into a 1.88m x 1.40m transverse double bed.

There’s less argument with the support of the comfy foam cushioning here. And there’s a nice curve to the central chest of drawers unit, with its slide-out tabletop extension.

Note, also, the wireless phone charger nearby.
There are few surprises with the kitchen. A high-spec cooker is on the right of the unit – the only potential bugbear being the microwave oven is directly over the hob.

A loose cover for the inset sink means you can optimise your worktop, plus there’s a flip-up extension.

Storage is good, including one locker with slide-out wire baskets in black, a drawer for cutlery between the fridge and worktop (the fridge itself is a 91-litre model with freezer compartment), while an Omnivent overhead can provide ventilation and/or whizz any unwanted cooking smells away.

If you want more storage, directly across the corridor is a floor unit – it also holds the dining table when not in use – plus overhead locker. It’s set up for a TV here, too, with all the relevant electric and aerial sockets.

Coachman caravan spotters will notice the new overhead locker and centre console designs.
The list of features isn’t quite endless, but particular highlights range from Alde central heating to the Bluetooth speaker system, fully lined shower cubicle to large rooflight over the island bed, his and hers wardrobes either side of that bed (as well as small ledges and fabric pockets) to…you get the picture!
