Meet the caravan model that kicks off the 2026 line-up of 10 Challengers from Swift. The 390 here is a classic-layout two-berth.
In this video, we walkthrough the 2026 Swift Challenger 390 caravan:
Its twin settees/end kitchen/rear corner washroom caravan floorplan might not be one you see so often these days, but for couples it’s particularly user-friendly and represents a great way of making the most of limited space.
Of course, being a smaller caravan also makes it lighter and more economical to tow, as well as easier to manhandle. There should be few worries finding a suitable towcar to pair it with – its maximum weight is only 1,118kg, or you can upgrade the chassis to 1,200kg if you feel you need more than the standard 180kg payload offering.

It goes down the same production line as other Swift caravans. That means it can point to GRP-clad walls with silver-coloured external sides and timber-free construction (Swift uses inert polyurethane blocks; the only wood in the bodywork is a ply upper for the floor) and the backing of a 10-year warranty.
It might be small, but it also boasts the latest Swift Challenger caravan looks – from the three-windowed front (admittedly it lacks the sunroof of its stablemates) to bold graphics and 15in alloy wheels, external mains socket and gas point, 120Watt solar panel through to fixings in place for a bike rack on the back wall.
That hitch cover is strong enough to stand on for cleaning the front end, too.

Inside the Swift Challenger 390 caravan, light colours keep the interior feeling roomy.
There’s a comfortable curve to the settee backrests, while the bases are on slats for optimum support as well as allowing ventilation. Also new for 2026 are sprung seat bases and tri-foam backrests for optimal seating and sleeping comfort.

At night, you have the choice of twin single beds, 1.80m x 0.63m, or a transverse 1.82m x 1.36m double.

Along the back of the Challenger 390 caravan, the kitchen includes a full cooker on the left (it has a dual-fuel hob and separate oven and grill), with a circular sink to its right, coming with a washing-up bowl.

A flatbed microwave oven is over the sink, while the locker to its left is large enough to include a plate rack and mug holder.
A double-doored locker under the sink includes slide-out cutlery storage as well as a shelved area on the right.

To the other side of the door, there’s a Dometic fridge with 83-litre capacity and a removable freezer section.

The worktop area here has two mains sockets, double USB portal and 12V and TV aerial connections.
There’s a solid door to the Challenger 390’s washroom and it’s good to see there’s a window in here, complementing the opening rooflight.

A curtain pulls around for showering, while the shower itself is an Ecocamel Jetstorm model with on/off button for the most efficient use of water, but there’s only one outlet in the shower tray.

Also in the 390’s compact washroom is a Thetford swivel-bowl toilet and a moulded plastic handbasin with a locker below. An open shelf over the toilet is the ideal spot to put towels.
Between the washroom and the lounge is a generous sized wardrobe. The dining table stows in here when not needed.
Also, among the upgrades for this season are: Truma’s CombiNeo heating system with its continuous supply of hot water, extensive electrical sockets (mains, USB A and C, and 12V), wireless phone charger, FM/DAB stereo, Status 570 TV aerial and plenty more.
