After a brief rest (just the two years), Swift’s Conqueror caravans are back. You could say with a bang, if the evidence of the born-again 480 here is anything to go by.

Kicking off the seven-strong range, the 480 is a two-berth with a timeless floorplan that majors on a full-width rear washroom.
In this video, we walkthrough the 2026 Swift Conqueror 480 caravan:
Instantly recognisable from the outside as a Swift tourer – it’s the black trimwork around the traditional three-window front that’s suggestive of a smiling face. Also, the grey/silver sides with fittings picked out in the black that’s so popular currently, supplemented by upmarket graphics, black alloy wheels and a one-piece, windowless rear panel in white which, like the rest, is faced in GRP.

Inside the Swift Conqueror 480 caravan it’s just as clean-cut in its styling. The front features long settees, sufficient to make up into single beds, if that’s your preferred sleeping arrangement.

During the day, plenty of daylight will get in should you want – with windows front and side, a large expanse of sunroof and a Heki Midi directly overhead.

At night you have the choice of lengthways single beds (1.95m long on the nearside/1.85m offside, both 0.67m wide) or, with a bit of extra arranging, a 1.98m x 1.54m transverse double.

What you might not expect – despite Swift’s exhortations that this is indeed a luxury vehicle – is Alde central heating and hot water. It certainly provides a different kind of all-encompassing warmth via its radiators compared to traditional blown air outlets. It certainly makes it all the more viable for extending your touring season.
The L-shaped kitchen optimises the worktop and storage space, especially as there’s a flip-up extension as well as a loose inset sink cover as far as the former is concerned.

A full cooker with dual-fuel hob and separate oven and grill is to the far right of the kitchen, with an extractor unit neatly inset above.

Beyond the cooker, the fridge is a 133-litre Dometic Series 10 model with a 12-litre freezer section that can be removed altogether should you want the maximum chilling space.

The microwave oven is the latest flatbed design and its location – over the drainer area rather than directly above the hob – is sure to win applause. Ditto for the main kitchen storage – a locker with slide-out chrome racking.

Plus, the splash panel with twin inset cubbies and a hook rail above are thoughtful details.

Over on the nearside of the Swift Conqueror 480 caravan, directly across from the kitchen is a sideboard unit offering generous drawer and locker (lower and upper) storage as well as a worktop at a suitable height for placing a TV (the appropriate sockets are here, too).

Crowning glory of this sophisticated caravan is the end washroom, where the level of detail is maintained – for example the inset storage section for shampoo bottles etc next to the shower’s riser bar.

A partially inset handbasin with click-clack plug is in the centre of the washroom – leaving a generous amount of space for dressing.

There’s a swivel-bowl toilet over on the offside, next to which is the wardrobe, which has plenty of space, despite the presence of the TV aerial pole and central heading header tank in here (there’s even room for some lower-level shelving).

There are plenty of other details in the Swift Conqueror 480 caravan too: Phone charger on the front bulkhead, a total of four scatter cushions, a good spread of USB portals (A and C), one-piece main door with window and concertina blind, DAB radio with Bluetooth connectivity, 120Watt solar panel, excellent lighting…the list goes on.

If you like what you see then the next step is your local Swift dealer – that’s where you can ask about pricing for factory- as well as any dealer-fit options, as well as a chassis upgrade that ekes out an extra 41kg of payload but could make all the difference.
And do note there are safety and security fittings, such as Al-Ko ATC, Al-Ko Secure wheel locks and a passive infra-red alarm system with tilt sensor, that will attract caravan insurance discounts with Caravan Guard.
