  1. Peter says:

I found the video very informative. I am wondering if I can connect a portable unit direct to the vehicle battery when in storage over winter. My worry is if left unattended, could the unit possibly overheat with adverse consequences and then insurance worries. It is the vehicle battery which has failed us in the recent winter after a period of very cold temperatures, yet the leisure battery seems to carry on happily from charging via a drive out every three weeks or so.

  2. David Robinson says:

Does it charge the vehicle battery, when the leisure battery is full

  3. Trevor Smith says:

Depending on the weather conditions, my heater consumes 5 amps running on gas, which is a large chuck of available 12v power. Also if you factor in cost of gas, which lasts about a week. We might go off grid for a summer weekend, but any longer and electric hookup is our 1st choice.

  4. Simon Parker says:

The video would have been better if I could have heard the voice over the unnecessary music.

  5. Carol perks says:

We have a solar panel On top of a motorhome, but it doesn’t seem to be wired up for working. Is there any cos bound Midlands near Stourbridge Dudley? I can come and sort it out

  6. Tim Gardner says:

How difficult is it to up grade the panel itself to a higher wattage? I own an Auto-Sleepers Bourton on a Mercedes Benz running gear. It has a 80watt solar panel fitted at the moment

  7. Margaret Drury says:

We have used a large solar panel in our motorhome for the last few years and never need to hook up. We also have autogas tanks fitted which power the fridge and the freezer section of it really well and also powers our heating system. This makes staying in remote places very easy if we wild pitch.

  8. Ian Smith says:

If you use your motorhome regularly then the initial cost is well worth it.

  9. David Dickinson says:

A good informative article we hAve one on our motorhome and does what it says on the tin would not be without one.
