2026 Fifth Wheel Inos caravan

The only British-made touring caravan with a slide-out. That’s the proud boast the Fifth Wheel company makes for the Inos that it produces from its base in Denbighshire, North Wales.

It also happens to be the most expensive new caravan in the UK.  And it’s hefty. All that engineering brings Mass in Running Order to 2,400kg, but you get a more than decent 400kg payload.

Newsflash (August 2026): Fifth Wheel Company tells us the INOS now features a new chassis capable of up to 3,500kg – giving the INOS caravan a class-leading payload of up to 1,000kg.

This can be downplated to the original 2,800kg if needed as your towing vehicle is going to have to be heavy to cope. But you do also get all the on-road stability you’d expect from what is now a twin axle tourer. And it’s only 2.30m wide when you’re on the road.

It actually builds on a highly popular floorplan – especially for more upmarket models – that includes a full-width washroom across the back and a transverse island double bed.

The latter is also in the slide-out section, so there’s never going to be a challenge for floorspace as you negotiate your way to the washroom – and that’s even considering the huge bank of storage, including a full-height wardrobe, on the wall opposite the bed.

Choose your campsite pitch carefully, however, because that slide-out takes the Inos’ width out to 2.90m, adding an extra 3.02m² of internal floor space that literally extends the main lounge and bedroom areas – there’s an L-shaped settee across the front and a settee along with a double dinette in the slide-out section.

That settee a proper sofa bed, folding out to a 1.90m x 1.30m mattress area (the island bed is also 1.90m long, with a maximum width of 1.40m).

The Fifth Wheel Inos slide-out section includes neoprene compression and blade seals. It works off a 12V DC electricity supply – as standard you get a 105Ah leisure battery, but there are options to upgrade your 12V power arrangement.

There’s certainly a reassuring feel to all the bodywork. It’s a wood-free construction with Styrofoam insulation and a tough GRP shell and aluminium-framed windows.

Note also the Al-Ko Premium jockey wheel, 14in black alloy wheels and, of course, heavy-duty corner steadies, plus high-security door lock with remote control and service lockers for the electric, gas and water systems.

It’s also a distinctive, single-windowed front with a large gas locker capable of taking up to two 13kg cylinders  (but watch your noseweight here for towing).

The kitchen is built around a hob featuring two gas burners and an induction ring, plus a combined oven and grill.

There’s a stainless-steel circular sink inset into the worktop and a particular storage highlight is the superior quality, large cutlery drawer, plus there’s a fold-up worktop extension.

As well as a roomy shower cubicle with a glass bi-fold door, the Inos washroom features a Thetford Cassette swivel-bowl toilet and a countertop handbasin.

There’s also lots of storage in here – wardrobe, open shelving, locker under the basin and more, plus a large, circular mirror on the back wall.

The starting specification of the Inos caravan includes Alde’s Compact central heating system with underfloor warming and Fifth Wheel says it’s a domestic quality pressurised water system, including a 70-litre fresh water tank.

There’s also a comprehensive line-up of optional extras (just some of the key ones are opposite, and you’ll certainly need to budget for the alarm/tracking system if you want to insure with us).

Plus, you can choose from hundreds of materials and colour combinations to make your INOS tailored to your liking, and as the Fifth Wheel company puts it: “a luxury caravan like no other”.

As you’ve rightly guessed, that slide-out section leaves the Fifth Wheel Inos with no direct rivals, even though we’ve suggested a few alternatives.
