A true adventure trailer, says the blurb. But the Terok story goes back to Rob Grant, an engineer with experience across both R&D and the marine industry, as well as other sectors. He followed his true passion to found the company to produce the kind of unit he’d like to go camping in.
Such is the Terok’s design you can see where it’s coming from. Or rather, where it’s going. Straight off-grid. Honestly, this isn’t the sort of mini tourer that’s going to hang around on typical campsites. It’s built for more rigorous adventures.
Here we take a very quick walk around the Terok tourer:
Each Terok Adventure Trailer is hand-built to individual order, starting with a heavy-duty galvanised 3mm pressed steel chassis with Indespension axle, the first of many features designed by Rob himself.
The main bodywork uses recycled closed cell anti-bacterial (it literally kills nasty bacteria) PVC that also provides excellent insulation. It’s all bolted together – there’s no welding – and finished in ultra-tough two-tone Raptor paint. If you do have a prang, it’s designed so that panels can be replaced.

The shape is certainly distinctive, prompting one reviewer to call it “squaredrop” in reference to its pumped-up teardrop style, sitting some 2m high on its General Grabber 15in all-terrain tyres.
There’s no shortage of payload, so you’ll be able to make the most of the external over- and under-body storage. Racking underneath is designed to take surfboards and similar, while on top there’s a stainless-steel exoskeleton system. Terok reckons you can carry up to four mountain bikes, three kayaks, two e-bikes, and four surfboards – all at once!

Some features you wouldn’t expect to see on a typical caravan – the holder for firewood logs, for instance, although that’s not to say there’s a stove inside; rather, it’s for the optional fire pit that stows underneath.
Inside, it’s a little bit more akin to the kind of layout you’d expect in a teardrop caravan. There’s memory foam mattressing for a 2m x 1.5m double bed. You can sit upright in this bed, too, and it’s in three sections so can convert into sofa seating in the daytime.

At the back, there’s a catering-grade slide-out kitchen zone that includes a double induction hob and barbecue area, as well as a pull-out fridge/freezer.

Everywhere you look and feel there’s innovation. Fittings extend to two “cabin bag” lockers, storage pockets at the foot end of the bed, reading lights at the other, Bluetooth stereo and lighting, all controlled via a 7in touchscreen.

There’s also a 12V/230V hot water system, 51-litre fresh water tank and 12-litre drinking water storage, pressurised water system, a bathroom pod with two shower units etc.

The innovation around this micro caravan continues. Three Molle plates on the exterior, a boot store, wet locker and more. Needless to say, the electrical systems are highly sophisticated, too, including a 300Watt inverter, 300Ah lithium polymer battery, chargers, 400Watt solar blanket and more.
If you want an awning or a roof tent, you can choose your own make and model, but there are fitting fees. You can also see a long list of options opposite, some of which are bespoke. Note, also, Terok offers a disability access package (grab handles, lower profile tyres, plus optional wheelchair mount) at no extra charge.
